Rehabilitation starts: one week after two stage BADAL X implant surgery or 3 weeks after single stage surgery
Week 1: Progressive weight bearing on BADAL X
1. Prosthesis fitting, including connector instructions
2. Progressive weight bearing on a scale until 100% body weight
3. Instructions for stoma care
Week 2: Walking on BADAL X between parallel bars
1. Stance- and balance training
2. Gait training: Various gait patterns (e.g. sidewards, backwards, stopping and turning)
Week 3: Gait training with BADAL X and two crutches
1. Basic gait training using crutches in 3-point gait and 2-point gait
2. Climbing stairs
3. Gait training on uneven surfaces
Week 4: Advanced gait training
1. Gait training without a walking aid
2. Gait training with slopes, obstacles, dual tasks
